Story:
L'Oréal is looking to open a new production and research complex in
Aulnay-sous-Bois. The architectural competition was launched in 1988 for the
construction of this new manufacturing plant for cosmetics and hair products.
The architects Denis Valode and Jean Pistre associated with the engineer Peter
Rice won the Equerre d'Argent competition in 1992 by presenting a modern
project going against the classic industrial constructions usually based on a
simple space-function match. This prize pays tribute to the creativity of the
project managers but also to the technical prowess implemented for the
realization of this site.
