**What started as a tradition of making shell frames for our vacation photos
has developed into a full-time hobby that I love!!! Hope you will enjoy one of
my shell creations.

I harvest all of the shells myself from various locations (Florida, Caribbean,
& Grand Lake, Oklahoma). I will occasionally use supplemental shells purchased
but prefer to use my harvested shells in their natural state without any
artificial shellac or such. I will, however, apply a thin coat of mineral oil
and/or Mod Podge to enhance natural shine.

Some of the items I apply shells to are repurposed such as gently used frames,
photo albums, etc.

I also like to try and identify the shells I find. I am, however, no expert on
shell identification; but use various forms of media to try to identify them
such as shell identification books and the internet. I will list the shells by
name, and all you need to do is google them to identify the shells on your
creation.

Also, I use a simple hobby glue gun to adhere the shells to the various
structures. A few of these shells can come loose occasionally. Any household
glue gun can easily reattach these loose shells. I prefer to avoid using any
high-powered glue that is hard or dangerous to work with, using glue that is
safe for my end product. I will also include a small bag of extra shells for
fixes or just to enjoy!!
