highly detailed pen with an intricate textured design end cap and nib giving
the pen a unique look.

The Lomond pen accepts a "Cross" style refill which is readily available in
high street stationers. This pen comes fitted with medium black as standard. It
is a twist-action and simply unscrews at the top to refill.

Due to the unique nature of the Heathergems process, colours and grain will
vary from the pictures shown. As the dye does not always penetrate the heather
stems some natural tones remain.

Heathergems are handcrafted from the stems of Scottish heather, renowned for
their purple bloom. The heather is collected from the Perthshire hills. The
stems are then dried, shot-blasted to remove the bark and dyed in various
colours. Stems of different colours are mixed and compressed into a block.
Approximately eighty tons of pressure is required to press the stems together.
The heather block is then cut into slices and individual pieces are cut,
shaped, filled and sanded by skilled craftworkers before being lacquered to
give the final finish. Our range celebrates both traditional Celtic designs and
more contemporary Scottish styles. This unique process means no two Heathergems
are the same and lets you take home your very own piece of Scotland!
